Gourmet Restaurant From Germany to SoPi, via Le Meurice and Le Peninsula, then L'Office on rue Richer, chef Benjamin Schmitt has taken the time to perfect his technique and develop a well-built personality. The dining room, run by his partner Jessica, consists of two open spaces of almost equal surface area: on one side the marble counter, and on the other the tables, striking a symbolic balance between plate and glass, Benjamin's recipes and Jessica's wines. The chef cultivates an homage to the terroir, with emblematic French dishes, both traditional and revisited. A fine pâté croûte, with duck, pork and foie gras; calf's head, served crisp with a spicy ravigote and agria vinaigrette; a well-seasoned pork loin, with a smoked fat sauce; a famous cassoulet from Castelnaudary, in the purest tradition; an airy chocolate mousse with a frosted coffee heart. On the glass side, a hundred or so references are brought together in a carefully researched and interesting selection, including natural wines and a fine page on the Jura (Ganevat, Touraize, Pélican, Marnes Blanches...) and a rather copious foreign selection. A table d'hôte is set up in the cellar, available on reservation.
