It’s the neighborhood’s hidden gem, and if Benjamin Schmitt can put his name on the sign, it’s because—beyond classic bistro fare—the chef infuses his dishes with a healthy dose of personality and his own distinctive touch. A well-crafted menu, with finesse and flavor in every dish: tomato tartlet with smoked sardines and herb sorbet; foie gras and pork pâté en croûte; glazed and smoked tuna with eggplant, green harissa, and crab juice; crispy veal sweetbreads with green beans, coffee-infused mushrooms, and mashed potatoes… Reasonable prices for a restaurant with two Michelin stars, and an interesting wine selection.
