Gourmet Restaurant Frédéric and Mathilde met at Gordon Ramsay's Pressoir d'Argent, before setting up on their own in Bergerac. Their pretty wooden house houses a cosy dining room with few covers, for a warm, intimate experience. The interior is simple, with light wood, an open kitchen, decorative frames, Thonet chairs and greenery. The menu features seasonal cuisine of a high standard, well-dressed plates and pleasant recipes: a starter of soft-boiled eggs, a variation on cauliflower, smoked haddock, lemon zest, almonds, croutons and pickled onions; a roasted trout, a variation on celery, tortellini, hazelnut, watercress gel, Noilly Prat sauce and trout roe; a leaf-to-leaf, muscovado sugar tuile, vanilla diplomat cream and tonka bean.
