Just a stone's throw from the Château de Chenonceau, the Auberge du Bon Laboureur perpetuates the spirit of a great Loire house run by the Jeudi family for over a century. In the bright dining room, with its white tablecloths and stone floors, the atmosphere remains peaceful, accompanied by discreet background music. The cuisine is classic, precise and straightforward, with an emphasis on the product and precise cooking. A vegetable starter features heliantis in a well-seasoned composition, enriched with red onion chips and pickles that add relief and texture. The poultry, perfectly cooked, is served with a fine herb stuffing and root vegetables in different textures, supported by a particularly tasty reduced jus. The dessert stands out from the rest: a work of art based on yuzu, combining creaminess and delicately bitter black lemon sorbet for a lively, refreshing balance. In the dining room, a young, attentive team ensures smooth service under the watchful eye of an experienced, attentive and responsive maître d'. The wine list showcases the great names of the Loire region, offering an excellent overview of the region's vineyards.
