Gault&Millau's review2026
500 years of history have shaped this grand downtown building. A historic monument that takes us back in time to feel the spirit of the grooms of 1560 who came to feast in front of the large fireplace that keeps this former stable warm with its shiny, irregular cobblestones. It has become a beautiful dining room, where regulars and hotel guests gather around the large solid wood tables to enjoy authentic local cuisine. Amidst the many references to Paul Bocuse, the multi-generational team offers a wide range of traditional, regional and convivial dishes with great consistency. Lucullus tongue and homemade terrine set the tone for generous cuisine, as do traditional Burgundy snails and frogs' legs, spit-roasted piglet or poultry, not to mention game in season or fine selections of fish returning from the sea. Equally generous are desserts such as crêpe Suzette or "Grand-Mère" waffles with whipped cream and chocolate. An efficient wine list and a wide choice of wines by the glass.
