A truly welcoming setting in this corner of Maine-et-Loire, where nature and history meet. At the foot of the Château de Montreuil-Bellay, a few kilometers from Saumur, lies a bucolic inn whose shaded terraces overlook the banks of the Thouet River. The kitchen serves up modern, beautifully presented dishes, including Thai shrimp and ginger soup, a fillet of pollock turmeric sauce, and squash gratin; a lamb shank with mashed sweet potatoes and broccoli; and a chocolate brownie with salted caramel.
