In a pretty stone house in the heart of the old village, La Bartavelle (the name of a partridge prized by hunters and Marcel Pagnol) takes on a chic tone and prestigious ingredients to appeal to a tourist clientele not looking for regionalism: royale de crustacés chou-fleur brocoli homard et bouillon parfumé à l'estragon, carré de veau de l'Aveyron rôti croustillant de pommes de terre jus truffé, baba punché au Diplomatico minestrone de fruits exotiques in an ambitious €52 menu. Drink the luberon from La Verrerie or the very good ventoux from Les Eydins.
