Gault&Millau's review2025
Charlotte and Nicolas Lorand (ex La Bouitte, les Crayères, Cheval Blanc Saint-Tropez) are beginning to build a loyal following in the Munster valley. Simplicity and straightforwardness dominate their seasonal menu, which focuses above all on the right flavors for well-chosen products. For example, the Wiedenthal zucchini and goat's cheese tartlet, pig's cheeks with blackcurrants and spaetzle with caramelized onions, and almond pannacotta with blueberry marmalade are all part of a good €34 lunch menu. In the evening, the menu expands and is well inspired in its choices (pâté en croûte, filet of celery char in risotto with celery emulsion...). Alsatian cellar augmented by good references from other regions.
