Chef's Restaurant Not far from the river and Porte Cailhau, Sofiane Bouhabib's discreet restaurant is a favorite with discerning Bordelais, as much for its setting of blond Aquitaine stone and arcades, with a beautiful solid wood bar, as for the fair and interesting cuisine served with a smile and attention. The excellent price-pleasure ratio is a strong argument for the €27 lunch menu, as well as for the €47 evening meal, featuring local and freshly-arrived produce: citrus maki with cauliflower and watercress velvet, rack of Basque pork smoked with hay, white asparagus with celery mousseline and tonka court jus, pineapple coconut cream with vanilla rum semi-pris pineapple hibiscus. A short but representative wine list, with a few world wines.
