Looking for a change of scenery? Paradoxically, it's in an urbanized suburb! The name says it all. Indeed, it's a passion for plants that has always inspired the experienced Lionel Hénaff. Taking a seat in the very comfortable, soothing and luminous dining room, which opens onto the small garden, is the assurance not only of spending an exquisite gourmet moment, but also of reviving and perfecting one's botanical knowledge. Vegetables, fruit and herbs are omnipresent without ever being gratuitous extras. Nor are they there just for aesthetic appeal. The tasty rock octopus, for example, blends perfectly with caramelized onion juice and freshly picked peas. A hint of arugula ensures controlled bitterness. The thick fillet of St. Pierre is enhanced by a fine broth with prune almond and coaxed by a creamy almond and cauliflower sauce sliced with dill oil... flashes of vivacity illuminate this composition thanks to the presence of orangequat and orange pulp. Another vegetal contribution: raw roasted white asparagus, wild radish and bronze fennel. A very accomplished dish! As for the duck, of the highest quality, it is fully expressed, supported by a full-bodied brown juice, a fine creamy sauce with a hint of liquorice, sandy carrot pulp, a beautiful green asparagus from Mallemort, herbs and flowers... The dessert is not grandiloquent, but very effective, combining a beautiful chocolate with black olives. Frédérique's service is fluid and attentive. As for the wine list, it bears witness to the priority given to the most "virtuous" estates. It's also possible to indulge without fear of a price hike. Savennières from château du Breuil, jasnières les Maisons Rouges, jurançon Bru-Bachet, saint-aubin from domaine Miolane, pic-saint-loup from domaine Foulaquier, chablis from domaine Pattes Loup...
