You're bound to feel a twinge of nostalgia when you enter Allard's, a legendary bistro that will soon be one hundred years old, where customers and waiters have to be extremely agile to move between the tables and reach the famous red velvet banquettes. Alain Ducasse is still at the helm and, in keeping with the history of the place, is committed to placing women in the kitchen. Lisa Desforges, in place since 2023, pays tribute to the founders, Marthe and Fernande Allard, by revisiting frogs' legs (from Saint Nizier sous Charlieu, magnificent), sautéed veal sweetbreads and braised lettuce and rum savarin, accompanied by an addictive whipped cream. A la carte prices and a cellar to match.
