A stunning, historic setting for some of the most modern cuisine in Alsace—that of Lucas Engel, whom we came to know over several seasons in Barr alongside Carole Eckert. Now striking out on his own, he has assembled a talented team—a powerhouse crew that allows him the freedom to express himself and experiment with culinary language without compromising on technical mastery. With Théodore in the dining room and Vincent managing a superb, already well-stocked wine cellar, he offers dynamic, fairly daring courses that are always spot-on in flavor, all within a sustainable framework. Two evening set menus, with a fixed-course menu, at €76 and €92, and two lunch set menus at €45 and €55.
