Gourmet Restaurant It's one of the prefecture's must-visit brasseries, ideally located on the square at the foot of the cathedral and boasting one of the city's best terraces. Both a bar and a brasserie, Clermont-Ferranders come here after work for a drink or dinner in a cosy atmosphere, both on the first floor and upstairs. The menu is bistro chic and efficient, with a good pâté croûte with sweetbreads, a bourride of haddock, aioli, saffron potatoes and leeks, a supreme of Auvergne chicken, autumn sauce, celery mousseline and braised parsnips, a chocolate marquise with whisky from Zagat d'Ardes-sur-Couzes. Friendly, prompt service.
