Chef's Restaurant Away from the center of town, on the banks of the Odet, this pretty little restaurant is a good example of the new wave in Quimper that has been gathering momentum in recent years. A small space, a sober setting of wood and leather, in shades of chocolate and "propos", shortened to two starters, two main courses and two desserts that make up the three layered menus, renewed each month. The young chef Kevin Gourret, whom we honored last year, shows a definite mastery of sauces, cooking and textures, and is generous with salt - a true Breton! The ideas follow one another well, at a piano tempo for the fifteen or so diners, for lovely dressings on mackerel bbq asparagus bear garlic emulsion, pearly saint-pierre, leek seaweed nori bone juice, an excellent pear spinach pre-dessert before a very good chocolate peanut vanilla dessert signed by pastry chef Ludovic. Fair prices for two fine toques, small cellar of personal choices, a little organic, glasses a little expensive, friendly and attentive service.
