Gourmet Restaurant The restaurant at the Grand Hôtel, a veritable institution along the canal, has an obligation to both local customers and tourists, more and more of whom are immersing themselves in this beautiful, classic setting. The chef and his team have taken up this challenge, with a very honest €40 lunch menu featuring long-cooked veal tongue with chimichurri vinaigrette (perhaps a little shy on the seasonings), roasted monkfish, mushrooms and coffee emulsion, a perfect blend of sea and land in terms of both taste and cooking. The dessert, like a "Mont Blanc" with chestnut cream, mascarpone chantilly and chestnut crumble, is both gourmet and refined. Service in the dining room is sober and polished, while the wine list, almost exclusively regional in its choice by the glass and by the bottle, could do with a little more to match the house.
