Gourmet Restaurant The place has a charm all of its own. A glassed-in room with a walkway over the water, wooden tables and pretty crockery. It's chic and elegant. We'll remember the warm welcome, the friendly staff, and the citrus and floral notes of the 2022 Chablis from Domaine William Fèvre. On the kitchen side, the modest mackerel à la flamme, marinated mussels, sweet potato and Kalamata olives, all, alas, literally bathed in an excellent gooseberry gazpacho. The wolf steak, seared on the skin, is served with a kale embeurrée, saffron-scented glazed salsify and iodized virginia. The crisp, candied half-squab, advertised as rosé but a touch overcooked, is accompanied by delicious agnolotti stuffed with giblets and a fine pea tart. For dessert, slightly thick slices of kiwi, light avocado-lemon cream, tangy meringue and citrus sorbet. The bill is hefty, but the regulars don't mind.
