Gault&Millau's review 2026

It's a facet of modernity we'd like to see more often, a protean approach to eating well that doesn't just come down to the plate. Romain and Charlotte Pouzadoux's Peck & Co is open from morning to night, offering a takeaway menu, pastries, a small selection of delicatessen, cooking and wine workshops, snacks... Not forgetting the table, open only at lunchtime and offering the inspiration of the moment, always blind. It's fluid and lively, always very cheerful, with a canteen and concept store feel, which says nothing about the talents of the chef, a true technician and creator. The menu that day proves once again that the two toques are richly deserved: a beautiful starter of asparagus and wild garlic, hollandaise sauce and fish roe, a remarkable back of cod, risotto, chard, spinach, leek green, parsley and cumin, generous and colorful, an elegant dessert of frangipane and coconut, exotic fruit marmalade, as good as it is beautiful to look at. Charlotte welcomes guests and advises them on wine, with as much enthusiasm as expertise, proposing some real top names, like this Riesling Lerchenberg 2021 from Albert Maurer.
