Chef's Restaurant At 3032m altitude, at the highest point of the Tignes ski area, the Panoramic has become a landmark of mountain cuisine. Here, the Bouvier family could have given in to the siren song of over-tourism... selling pre-prepared dishes to snow vacation enthusiasts. But not here! Like Captain Haddock, father Jean-Michel steers a steady course, focusing on the finest products from the Savoie region. You'll love the escargots with parsley butter and tomato pulp, or the marrow bone cooked on the coals with a few slices of truffle, or the heart of grilled romaine, alpine Beaufort, hazelnuts and mushrooms. Of course, it's impossible to miss these wood-fired meats. Ribs of beef, suckling pig and pork ribs are sure to satisfy any appetite. The Panoramic is the mountain at its rawest, most carnal. Meat is prepared over an open fire, just like in the old days: it smokes, it sizzles, it delights. And for those who want to get close to neighboring Italy, agnolotti from Piedmont are offered in a veal jus so silky it deserves its own red trail. The Bouvier house is expanding, and has also just taken over the village's two bakeries. Breads, pastas and desserts have been given a new lease of life... to the delight of the restaurant's customers - but also that of the Tignards, who will finally have good bread here all year round. You'll be delighted to dive into this 100% homemade dessert buffet. Mainly tarts, but also revisits of great French classics. The wine list may seem intimidating at first glance. However, you're sure to find something to your liking among the region's fine Jacquères and Mondeuses. At the end of the adventure, the price is high, as is the altitude, but you get the feeling that you've been treated like a distinguished guest here, in this very pretty house perched high up in the mountains...
