Gourmet Restaurant Nous 4 is a gourmet stopover, a Gault Millau resto-bistro as we like them, simple and natural. Chef Stéphane Browne welcomes you to his convivial interior, just a stone's throw from the Gare de Lyon, in a home-like atmosphere, with a cuisine that goes straight to the essentials, especially at lunchtime. The slate is laid out on the floor, so it's impossible to get lost. The €32 menu (starter, main course and dessert) offers two choices at each stage. The spelt, butternut and feta salad is a true moment of freshness, the hake (which this lunchtime replaces a salmon on leave) is accompanied by a well-turned chignin sauce, like the mustard sauce that accompanies the Mayenne sausage, while a few potatoes, chard and onions hold a candle to the plate. As for dessert, the only alternative to chocolate cake is a piece of 15-month Comté cheese. The wine list could be a little thicker, but there are some nice ideas, particularly on softs.
