On Place Royale, not far from the town hall, Philippe Maré's restaurant is a sure bet, a fine table in town where business lunches logically take place. The long, handsome house has a traditional, rather bourgeois style, with waxed parquet flooring, a stone fireplace and leather seating. On the menu, fine produce and meticulous execution, foie gras ravioli and Thai broth, fillet of sea bass and fennel fondue, candied citrus and rosemary cream, minced beef with pan-fried foie gras, mashed potatoes with truffle oil, port reduction, pear dessert and honey sesame nougat. Market menu at €23.50.
