Chef's Restaurant It's better than just tinkering! This large stone house, protected by a small wall housing a pretty terrace, has quickly established itself as a highly recommended gourmet stopover. The spacious dining room is warm, bright and colorful. It's simple, but very pleasant, with exposed stone and wood combining to perfection. Sylvain Confrère offers dishes with personality, playing on both marine and earthy themes. A case in point is the tender, tasty escargots escorted by a "perfect egg", carried by a very sharp "green" coulis and nimbed with a "gorgonzola" espuma, a little below par. To follow, the shellfish bisque has presence without overpowering the thick slab of first-rate pollack, flanked by good seasonal vegetables (undercooked Brussels sprouts) and crispy langoustine. As for the "Bricoles-style" crème brûlée, it's been on the menu since day one... and we can see why! It's airy and rests on a crumbly Breton shortbread just right! The wine list isn't over the top, but you can still find a Sancerre La Poussie, a Provence Ferry Lacombe or a Crozes-Hermitage from JL Colombo... A cheerful welcome and efficient service. All this is now worth two toques!
