Gourmet Restaurant In winter, this Monkey in Paris often obliges its clientele to keep their scarves and sometimes even coats on hand for the more chilly, or for those seated near the front door or the trapdoor leading to the cellar. It doesn't matter, because you'll soon warm up with the gourmet fried halloumi, kimi fig chutney, kumquat and Greek yoghurt sauce, and the beautiful black Angus flank steak with wine merchant sauce, crispy potato and oyster mushrooms, a meat that's both silky and full of character. We also recommend a selection from the dessert menu (the chocolate hazelnut praline millefeuille, served with a shot of Eddu buckwheat whisky) which, as Paris obliges, doesn't forget the truffle Brillat-Savarin. Smiling service, basic comfort.
