It's in a charming alleyway in the center of La Roque-d'Anthéron that chef Émeric Corbon, winner of the Dotation Gault&Millau at the time of the restaurant's opening, can now express himself. A vaulted dining room with exposed stonework and an attractive terrace in fine weather create a welcoming setting. At Le Jas, Provence takes center stage, with an excellent eggplant papeton and a perfectly seasoned tomato coulis. But the chef doesn't hesitate to open up his repertoire to more contemporary touches: roasted blue lobster with strawberries or Mediterranean sea bass, white asparagus confit and elderberry sabayon, a little less exciting, before a classic coconut pannacotta with red fruit coulis. The well-thought-out wine list will delight the curious and the connoisseur alike. Attentive service, despite a sometimes hectic pace, rounds off a good experience.
