Chef's Restaurant The passion of the trade, again and again! Nathalie Beauvais (in the kitchen) and her husband Arnaud (in the dining room and cellar) have held the restaurant trade high for over thirty years. The welcome is always enthusiastic and urbane. The service is cheerful and fluid, and the cuisine generous, tasty and straightforward, in tune with the times but far removed from the excesses of fashion. The dining room is divided into two areas, one intimate, the other more lively and brightly colored, under the glass roof and opening onto the small garden. Here, there's no chef's diktat with a set menu. It's all about freedom. Would you like to try only starters? Yes, that's possible! And... a starter and a dessert? Always possible! And yet, it's hard not to succumb to the ambient gluttony. So let's go for these 12 shelled langoustines, drunk with freshness, laid on a spinach coulis with hints of grapefruit. No fuss, just efficiency. The last scallops of the season, just sautéed, are accompanied by a rice pilaf with sweet potato quinoa that a creamy coconut milk sauce spiced with spices takes you on a voyage, a reminder of the city's rich port days in the XVIIᵉ. And to finish, a regressive shot with old-fashioned rice pudding brightened with caramelized apple compote and mango coulis. Above all, don't spoil your enjoyment and take a stroll through a stunning wine list patiently and passionately constructed: muscadet from domaines haute-Noëlle, Jo Landron, Rémi Luneau; jasnières from domaine Guigou; savennières from domaine Aux moines; valençay from domaine Jourdain; pouilly fuissé from domaine Fichet; Corsican from Clos venturi or domaine Pieretti; fiefs vendéens from fabien Murail or domaine Mercier...
