Chef's Restaurant Marc Faivre's beautiful contemporary table naturally appeals on both sides of the border. The chef has dominated the local scene for thirty-five years and doesn't need to show off his credentials: the proof is in the eating, imbued with classic chic on quality produce. The Tour du Lac menu at €57 is a good option, with Burgundy snail court-bouillon with fresh herbs or mushroom crust, chicken with yellow wine or trout with blue cheese, strawberry bricelet. Interesting cellar, good personal choices, with the best of the Jura, including by the glass with Jean-Michel Petit's Trousseau, for example.
