This shop in a modern neighborhood on the tramway line, just three minutes from the center of Annecy-le-Vieux, deserves a lot of credit. Mathilde and Rémi Ballin have weathered the storm, overcame the pandemic and now have a steady clientele. In their house, harmonized with the surrounding buildings (orange, brick red and cream), the chef offers a short, solid and well-mastered menu: perfect egg with cauliflower coulis, scallops with hazelnut squash, duck breast with fried carrot purée, kouignamann with caramel and vanilla ice cream in a well-kept sequence at around €50. Good Chignin Quenard at €6 a glass.
