Chef's Restaurant Slightly set back from the road, the pretty stone and red brick house stretches along the edge of a small pond where ducks, wild geese... celebrate. From the luminous, serenely elegant dining room to the impeccably tablecloth-covered tables, you'll enjoy these bucolic moments to the full. These are also highly gourmet moments, as Pierre Caillet's menus (which you'll have to choose from when you book) are totally in tune with the seasons and local and regional resources. While the technique is beyond reproach, it takes a back seat to the emotion that comes to the fore when tasting, for example, the delicate, meaty scallops in a hemp crust, accompanied so well by the Brussels sprouts (cooked and raw leaves), punctuated by clear lemony notes. Another highlight is the pavé de lieu, marinated and subtly lacquered with Bénédictine. It sits alongside the potato, presented in the form of little turnovers, golden and slightly crispy on the outside, but creamy on the inside. Watercress - mossy and au naturel - adds an appropriate vegetable dimension. As for the fresh dessert, it marries different textures, temperatures and flavors (acidity, sweetness...) around kiwi fruit (in coulis, thinly sliced potato chips, sponge cake and sorbet). As for the cellar, we're happy to rely on tried-and-tested names: Cuilleron, Elian Da Ros, Mont Olivet, Beaujolais from Domaine des Dames, Saint-Joseph from Domaine Christophe Pichon or, why not, a cider.
