Gourmet Restaurant Collioure, that pearl of the Côte Vermeille, designated one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France" 2024, has been home to Masashi Iijima's original table for almost twenty years. Whether it's the weight of years or a temporary slump, our experience this year seemed to be marked by a little less enthusiasm than usual. Nevertheless, we found the same cuisine based on local produce, embellished by a daring touch on the sashimi sar salad with flying fish roe, or the white tuna tataki with glutinous rice, spiced up with a red wine soy sauce; the dessert is in the same vein, with a sweet red bean compote tiramisu under a green tea Chantilly; good value for money for lunch at €36.
