Chef's Restaurant It's often said that La Truffière is mainly an evening restaurant. And yet, at lunchtime, the €43 menu offers excellent value for money, with dishes all taken from the à la carte menu. Yet it's not unusual for the dining room to ring hollow at a time when students are swallowing a sandwich on the nearby Place de la Contrescarpe. Quentin Maisonnobe, the chef, masters the basics of classic cuisine perfectly (which is what we come to La Truffière for, lunch and dinner), working with luxury products, duck from the Dombes region, truffles of course, wild fish... all products that only take on their full meaning when accompanied by a bottle from one of the most formidable cellars in Paris. Stylish service, provided by a brigade from all horizons.
