Gault&Millau's review 2026

Who doesn't go there in a horse-drawn carriage? Tour operators, who are now crazy about immersive experiences, including in the restaurant, should take a closer look, lay out paths through the woods from La Muette or Auteuil and organize a service to this magnificent Napoleon III pavilion, where it's so easy to imagine recreating some forgotten splendors. Of course, we'd also have to rekindle the flame of this grand hall, a little impressive when it's quiet, and of this privileged terrace which is itself a spectacle. As for Frédéric Robert's cuisine, it's entirely in keeping with the setting, and deserves a little boost to make the marquises' eyes shine: langoustines and girolles, turbot with Paimpol coconuts, salicornia and seaweed tartar, lamb from the Pays d'Oc, artichoke tempura, Cévennes sweet onions and peppermint... The dessert is a beautiful mille-feuille, and the 195 € prix fixe includes the legendary macaroni with foie gras and truffle, created here a quarter of a century ago by Jean-Louis Nomicos.
