Chef's Restaurant West of the Sologne, near Cheverny or Oisly (a little-known Touraine appellation that reveals some fine expressions of the Sauvignon grape variety), this too-quiet house belongs to Maud and Stéphane Bureau. In a rather refined setting, the chef offers elegant, harmonious dishes that strike a balance between classicism and modernity. Enjoy, for example, the specialty of Sologne pillows and their hay-reduced juice, crushed tart cherries, or for dessert, coconut-carrot and semolina millas, Touraine saffron bubble tea and cinnamon crunch. The food and wine pairing is well thought-out, affordable and showcases some of the region's finest estates, in the pleasant atmosphere of this discreet residence.
