Remarkable Restaurant Everywhere else, the Orangerie would be the absolute beacon of the city, the benchmark for a département or even a region. In Paris, l'Orangerie is second only to Christian Le Squer's Cinq, but not unnoticed. The cuisine of Alan Taudon, the five-star chef's best lieutenant, is nothing short of brilliant, even exuberant, in this very elegant gallery, open to the hotel's lively atmosphere. In fact, the bill is not to be beaten, and the Découverte menu at €285 reflects the hotel's high standards. The sequence wraps a very fine prestige dish, lobster roast with sweet spices, in a fine suite of seasonal dishes, porcini mushrooms, sea bream and vegetable tagliatelle, fig leaf for dessert. The high level of service justifies the price of this exceptional service, aided by an equally atomic wine list.
