Chef's Restaurant A favorite among Grenoble's gourmets, Amélyss lends itself equally well to business lunches as it does to friendly or family get-togethers. Between the train station and the city center, Gabriel welcomes you with unfailing kindness and calm to the human-scale restaurant he runs with his partner Héloïse. She's in the kitchen, but he's in charge of desserts, the dining room and the cellar. The ambiance is chic and unpretentious, as are the dishes, featuring fine seasonal produce combined with a touch of creativity, such as slow-cooked veal, black rice with chorizo, artichoke and parmesan, or whiting rillettes, yoghurt beaten with watercress, tangy chestnut cream and carmine endives. The presentations are meticulous, the cooking perfect and the flavors well-balanced. The service is faultless, and the cellar is well cared for and affordable.
