Chef's Restaurant Gérald Azoulay has retained his tried-and-tested formula of a Franco-Peruvian-Nikkei mix, which today appeals to even the most traditional Avignon residents, who were once fed on the southern dishes of Pierre Hiély. Together with his wife Patricia, who also oversees a 400-strong wine cellar, he offers an ever-changing range of dishes, nourished by the finest produce and a blend of cultures, including octopus tiradito, scallops and bottarga with nikkei vinaigrette, venison and aji panca foie gras with chapa pepper and Amazonian gin... A Peruvian cocoa dessert is a must, as is the Châteauneuf to accompany it. Six-course Zou Maï menu at €105.
