At the end of an improbable road and a 1.5 km track with very little traffic, this farm in the middle of nature, with its folklore, its atmosphere, its mystery almost, is a reward. Why do local Corsican families come here on pilgrimage, and why are so many visitors seized by this singular charm? The answer is manifold, and experience alone will provide the answer. The typical, proud house, the small rooms of rough stone or whitewashed walls, Pauline's cooking, the excellent soup, the zucchini fritters, the always beautiful charcuterie (that sausage!), the central meat dish (veal sauté and homemade lasagne on this day), the cheeses and homemade jams, fig or green tomato, the dessert of the moment, a big doughnut with candied clementines and brandy, in a liturgy that unfolds on a pretty table with precious crockery... All this comes at a fixed price of €60, with unlimited wine, a good red nielluccio (obviously no credit card, you're in the real Corsica), which may seem high. However, nothing is too good, nothing too expensive, to preserve this Corsica rather than that of the uniform coastal paillotes with burrata and gambas.
