In one of France's most famous wine-producing villages, the birthplace of Saint Joseph, Damien Barjon's restaurant is a good place to stop, not just for the cellar, but also for his charming market cuisine. His €36 menu offers good value for money, featuring smoked trout and orange salad, swordfish with saffron cream and saint-félicien, guinea fowl supreme and cabbage embeurrée, and a traditional vanilla crème brûlée.
