Gourmet Restaurant In this lively street, below the Place des Lices, the halles centrales and its unmissable Saturday market, La Coquille is a well-established reference. The cheerfulness and dedication of the waitstaff make it a popular spot, attracting a diverse clientele who are sure to enjoy a carefree interlude of conviviality and natural gourmet pleasure. If the decorative codes of the bistro are perfectly respected: mismatched chairs or benches, parquet flooring, shelves with bottles "en veux-tu en voilà", a ham slicer (Spanish), funny light fixtures in the shape of a coffee pot or carafe, the cuisine, with malice and dexterity, sometimes goes beyond the usual simple register: scallops, sweetbreads and chanterelles served in a wrestled shell; diving abalone, buckwheat and baby vegetables... But this year's highlight is the duck-stuffed cabbage, so delightful both visually and in taste. And, of course, there's still time to indulge in the traditional baba au rhum (rum baba) - well soaked and perfectly textured with a smooth, tasty cream. In the cellar, a panoramic approach to French vineyards: vdf de loire from Marc Pesnot ("La Bohème"); alsace from domaine Trapet; saint-joseph Coursodon; côtes catalanes from domaine Christophe Marin; côte-rôtie from domaine François et Fils...
