Gourmet Restaurant Among the many addresses on the island, one is a sure bet. Le Rémi, well known to us in La Rochelle, has developed here what was once the Bistrot de Béné into a trendy restaurant offering fine, consistent cuisine in a charmingly decorated room. After a good tapenade to start the meal, the Tahitian-style sea bass tartare, the back of pollack plancha with island knives and grenailles, a gourmet ensemble, generous and pleasant, or a classic filet of beef, pan-fried foie gras, pineau sauce, grilled over a wood fire, well executed. Service is precise and smooth, by well-briefed staff who know the menu, and the cellar is quite comprehensive.
