Chef's Restaurant Mathieu and his wife Marie are undoubtedly one of the region's most welcoming restaurant couples. In this superb château nestled in the heart of the immense estate of Michael de Boisgelin, the owner, our former Grand de Demain likes to go straight to the essentials, without ever giving in to the sirens of ostentation, and offers cuisine that is respectful of the environment, fresh and as locavore as possible: green asparagus roasted in hay, taggiasche olives and perfect egg yolk, berlingot of smoked cauliflower, watercress foam with kalamansi and lemon meringue pie, candied Buddha hand and herb sorbet. Friendly service, just like the Kergourlay couple, and a peaceful atmosphere in this modernized castle setting, disturbed only by the golfers' drives off hole 12, set up under the restaurant's windows.
