Located just a stone's throw from République, Caneton's red facade is reminiscent of a traditional bistro, where the slate features revisited classics with a strong meat component. The dishes are hearty and well-crafted, and reasonably priced: mayo eggs, arancini with oyster mushrooms from Pacé, olive and sesame cream, the inevitable mashed sausage, beef flank steak with pepper sauce and French fries, rum baba with roasted pineapple and coconut mousse.
