Chef's Restaurant Once a pleasant annex for travelers seeking simplicity, La Cour has become a true second address of Le Grand Monarque, a chic bistro housed under the same name, skilfully supervised by Thomas Parnaud, offering a pleasant setting, with a large central counter and bourgeois cuisine that's now top-notch: pâté en croûte, trout gravlax, poke bowl beauceron, Beauce hare à la royale, Grand Marnier soufflé. We tasted excellent scallops with a sauce des barbes that would have seduced many a gastro, and a bouchée à la reine that was as copious as it was gourmet. The service is perfect, and the cellar offers some fine house bottles and wines by the glass that are more affordable than at the gastro.
