Regular efforts at this fine bistro in the heart of the Croix-Rousse, which has built up a loyal clientele with a carefully-crafted offering starting with the €28.50 menu, offering choice and variety, from mussel soup to poultry liver terrine, skate wing to shredded hare, rum baba to rice pudding with nougat ice cream. The atmosphere is conducive to bringing good friends along, and the wine is classic and varied, with good references such as Jean-Paul Brun's brouilly at €25.50. Also keep an eye out for the chef's suggestions on the slate (risotto-snacked scallops, foie gras pot-au-feu and oxtail the other day).
