Gourmet Restaurant Sheltered by its walls, in the heart of summer, the garden has a charm all of its own. Nature is tamed... but not too tamed. It takes its ease to offer a bucolic space just a stone's throw from the sea. To make the most of it, a few tables have been set up on the terrace. A lovely moment when the sun is out. The house, completely renovated when Alexis and Cynthia Coÿne arrived, extends the aestheticism of the place. Extremely bright, and of course wide open to the greenery, it plays on soft colors and wood (beautiful tables). Here and there, butterflies are a discreet reminder of the name (the Breton word for butterfly is "balafenn"). Cynthia greets and serves with good humor and delicacy. No undue haste. Alexis's cuisine is bursting with sunshine, with light, incisive dishes such as lightly marinated mackerel with beet and cherries, or a fine tart with fennel confit, tomato and olives. The creaminess is provided by a pleasant sheep's milk mousse embellished with thin slices of tome cheese. Next, we head for more distant shores. Beautiful lobster is adorned with finely balanced Thai flavors. Chard and turnip are the perfect accompaniment to this characterful dish. In comparison, the dessert seems to take a back seat, even though it's a pleasure to eat, combining strawberries, peas and Trégor saffron. The cellar will surely gain in density in the years to come. We can already pick out a few domains that will still do the trick: muscadet from Clos Armand, morgon from Château Gaillard, Breton wine from Domaine des Longues Vignes... There's also a selection of regional ciders and spirits, not to mention a range of alternative, non-alcoholic drinks.
