Gault&Millau's review 2026

On the banks of the Dordogne, this inn has its feet almost in the water, with its view, sober, almost Breton decor, and Thomas L'Hérisson's beautiful dishes, as much on land as on the coast. The dishes reflect all the experience of the chef, who has worked with the likes of Frechon and Marx, on masterly seasonal compositions: sautéed squid and seasonal vegetables, wasabi mayonnaise, lemon caviar and kombu seaweed tsukudani, oysters ostra régal wrapped in bacon, foie gras royale with roasted hazelnuts, pumpkin velouté with green apple batônets, miso-marinated veal sweetbreads pan-fried in butter, tomato confit with coconut bean purée and veal jus, pine nut praline glacé wrapped in melon, blackcurrant confit, fermented milk and sage. Excellent cellar with over 500 references.
