Chef's Restaurant L'Auberge du Cellier is a sure bet, and any gourmet visiting the Eastern Pyrenees will be delighted with this family-run restaurant offering honest, brilliantly executed dishes. The Langoustine menu, which replaces the Lobster menu that day, satisfies local regulars, friends of the owner and visitors alike. The cuisine is straightforward and limpid, in three steps for the small menu, as witnessed by the langoustine tails in a raviole, poultry quenelle and pan-fried foie gras, espuma of mint and cébette bique, which demonstrates the chef's technique and mastery of delicate land-sea combinations. The setting, with its view over the Agly valley, is restful, and you can sample a wide range of local wines from recently established estates as well as emblematic ones, with a strong emphasis on organic and natural products. Relaxed, professional service.
