Chef's Restaurant You can't be a native Manceau without having attended a festive or ceremonial meal at Les Matfeux. This family home, which the Souffronts have been running for over sixty years, and now Xavier, for thirty, is located in the woods near the 24 Hours racetrack. It maintains its standing with ease, having favorably evolved towards a cuisine open to a variety of flavors while remaining attentive to the seasons and the terroir: filet de boeuf de Sarthe en gravlax sauce chimichurri, saint-jacques au lard de Colonnata, pigeonneau de Racan cuisse en effilochée et déclinaison de betteraves bio de la Sarthe jus au merlot, dessert café bio d'Éthiopie en déclinaison... Prices are stable, with an attractive 5-course formula at €64, and the classic cellar still well-stocked.
