Gourmet Restaurant In a city where the architecture is more reminiscent of classical music than hard rock, this gourmet and musical address breathes an exciting air of youth. The man behind the project, Stéphane Brunet, is as much a fan of electrifying riffs as he is of fine French cuisine, combining his two passions in a pop and slightly retro setting, with a tower of K7s and vinyl records elegantly lined up on the wall, a resolutely hip sixties spirit that contrasts with the very franchouillarde bonhomie of the plates. These are seasonal dishes playing on a rather regressive theme, familiar pleasures with a hint of inventiveness, a mackerel mousse, artichoke pickles and samphire, a beautiful, almost melting roast veal fillet, under a mountain of porcini cream and concealing a small mushroom waffle. Finally, the childlike but sure pleasure of a Toblerone mousse and Drambuie sabayon. On the cellar side, a decent selection of Patrick Noël's Sancerre, Domaine de l'Épine's Quincy and Louis Soufflot's Maranges, all by the glass or bottle.
