Gourmet Restaurant With the Pascal Bouvier era behind us, the city of Langeais must of course retain its reputation for fine dining at the foot of the château. The new chef/owner, Guillaume Véra, is doing his utmost to do just that, keeping his feet firmly on the ground and ensuring a cautious but effective takeover, using a fine selection of products worked with precision, such as the lamb shoulder confit, summer vegetables and vitelotte purée after the cold pea soup, lean beef gravelax and avocado tartar, confirming a vision of a well-kept regional bistro. Good adaptation of tiramisu for dessert, Distiloire coffee cream, almond crumble, chocolate ice cream, cocoa cream, amaretto granita. The cellar is mainly Loire-based, with a good selection by the glass.
