Quentin BOUQUET
Head sommelier : 1 restaurantQuentin Bouquet discovered wine over the years: "By tasting, I understood why I liked it and why I didn't. As time went on, I developed a vocation for it. Self-taught in the early days, he joined wine clubs and took private lessons. He gradually gave up his job as a machine operator, and trained as a sommelier in Beaune, in 2011.
A year later, he moved to Switzerland, to the Valais wine region, where he frequented several prestigious establishments, including the Chalet d'Adrien, as well as various private chalets: "I had the world's finest wines within my grasp".
Returning to France in 2019, he was hired as head sommelier at Le Charlemagne, in Pernand-Vergelesses, near Beaune, supported by chef Laurent Peugeot: "I was at the heart of everything I loved. " In 2022, Quentin Bouquet headed for Brittany, joining Ar Men Du in Névez as head sommelier, where he managed a team of three. Opened in 2004, the restaurant's cellar is of paramount importance, and food and wine pairings are made in close collaboration with chef Jérôme Gourmelen and his team. Today, Quentin Bouquet is a head sommelier in perpetual ebullition, who hasn't hesitated to set up his own club with enthusiasts, and whose pleasure in discovering new things isn't about to wane. Gault&Millau has named him Sommelier of the Brittany region in 2023.
