It was written that Pierre Friedlander would one day take over the reins of the family business. However, after completing a BTS in viticulture and oenology, he went to New Zealand and Australia to discover other wine-producing worlds. He returned to Champagne after one year. Today, he works with his uncle Patrice Leroux, who has handed over the reins to him in a smooth transition. Their estate extends over 10 hectares and seven communes, on parcels classified as Premier Cru for the most part, some as Grand Cru. The grape varieties are 30% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 30% Pinot Meunier. While they sell part of their raw material to the wine trade, Pierre and Patrice vinify the rest. The estate's HVE and Viticulture Durable en Champagne (VDC) certifications demonstrate their commitment to respecting the environment. The quest for freshness is one of the duo's hobbies, and they let their cuvées age before selling them, at least three or four years for the Brut Sans Année (BSA), and six years for the others. In all, they present seven champagnes, four of which are vintage and one plot-based cuvée, Les Vignes Goisses - Verzy Grand Cru: 100% pinot noir, made from 36-year-old vines, this champagne illustrates the domaine's style, the desired balance between freshness, acidity and delicacy.
