Chef : 1 restaurant Crowned Jeune Talent 2017, chef Pierre-Arnaud Dupont offers beautiful, iodized cuisine at his 2-toque Pier Le Goût du Vrai restaurant in Valenciennes.At the age of 8, I used to watch my father cook," confides Pierre-Arnaud Dupont. I ended up giving him a hand. Naturally, he enrolled at the Bailleul hotel school, where he obtained his BEP in 2003. After graduating, the young commis went on to gain experience in various brasseries and semi-gastronomic restaurants in Lille: L'Orange Bleue, L'Écume des Mers, Las Tapas and L'Hermitage Gantois. " In 2007, aged just 22, he took up his first chef's position at Le Ô Cercle.
Curious, Pierre-Arnaud Dupont left in 2012 to discover new horizons: Savoie, Charente-Maritime and the South of France, where he discovered other cuisines. In 2015, he returned to the Nord region to open his restaurant, Pier Le Goût du Vrai, in Valenciennes. "I got my whole family involved in the adventure, and I was right to do so." Indeed, Gault&Millau rewarded him with the Jeune Talent 2017 trophy and awarded his wife Anaïs the Jeune Talent Service en Salle prize in 2021.
Initially, Pierre-Arnaud Dupont will devote himself entirely to meat, in all its forms. Until 2021, when he changed direction and turned to iodized cuisine, in order to distinguish himself from other addresses in the neighborhood and diversify his offer.
